Volunteers for ticket pre-sales still
neededneed someone to run the box office on Mon., Tues., and Wed., from 12:00
3:00 and 3:00 6:00. Also need volunteers for 50/50. Volunteers
also needed to put together the display cases. Lenore is so far the only
person signed up for the displays.
Chaperones....If
you are chaperoning.....
1) First
priority is to keep our students safe and where they are supposed to be.
2) No food or
drinks other than water in the choir room, band room, auditorium, etc.
Food must be held and eaten in the quad. Free fruit will be available in
the quad for all students (thanks to Lisa R. for her donation phone calls!).
3) No one but
performers are allowed in the rooms.
4) Steve is in
charge of security. He thanks everyone for volunteering. He is
trying to do his best to put you in the spot you requested, but only 3 spots
are in the auditorium and he needs to fill 9 spaces each show, so may have to
draw names out of a hat!
Everyone needs to help promote Pop
Show. Friday & Saturday shows are great, but we want to fill the
auditorium all the way for Thursday and Sunday's shows too.
Assemblies
If
meeting at Burroughs, meet at 7:00 am, otherwise meet at Luther at 7:30 am

students come in costume with a change of clothes for the school day.
See's Candy Sale Becky Encinias will be
running the See's Candy sale. Flyers are available in the choir room or

Music
Showcase - Debbie
Wade and Denise Johnson chair Music Showcase to be held on April 12. This
is our competition that we host for other choirs. 28 choirs are competing
this year. Our choirs do not compete, but we all need to pitch in to help
out. We need everything from people to direct busses to concession
sales. More information will be presented at next month's meeting (after
we get through Pop Show!).
Thank
You - A
big thank you to Julie Letts and an un-named choir parent who cleaned out the
supply room and put in shelves. It looks awesome!
Competitions
Powerhouse
to Citrus (also called Diamond Bar Competition) Friday, February 8th.
This is in Asuza and Powerhouse will be performing at 9:30 pm (8 out of 11
choirs to perform). We may need other drivers to help drive the prop
& IMA/combo people. We will be leaving Burroughs at 1:00 pm.
Decibelles
and Sound Sensations have the Bonita Vista For Ladies Only competition
Saturday, February 9th. Deci's leave at 8:00 am and return
around 9:00 pm. SS leave 2:00 pm and return around 1 am. Parents be
sure to have your cell phones on and available so your student can contact you
when they get close to the return time. Also, send $ for food or send a
lunch and dinner with your child. Water/Snack donations appreciated.
TICKETS
FOR ARCADIA COMPETITION MAY BE ORDERED NOW (This is a Sound Waves &
Powerhouse Competition). To order tickets be sure and follow this
procedure:
1) Fill out an order form (available in the choir room).
2) Put
order form and PAYMENT in the choir room lock box.
Ticket
orders cannot be completed without payment. Do not e-mail Diane to order
tickets. All orders must be accompanied by both an order form and
payment. Thanks!
Golden Note Program Liane Dietz Deadline for
ads is this Friday, Feb. 8th.
FINANCIAL
REPORT:
Sue
Orbison presented the financial report, see Sue for details. If you need
reimbursement for any choir expenses, turn receipts in with reimbursement form
ASAP---timeliness is important. The reimbursement is available on
the website.
If
you want to see the budget, check with Mr. Jennings. It is still a work
in progress.
