UPCOMING EVENTS:
Music Showcase April 12 Debbie Wade/ Denise Johnson
Lots
of volunteers still needed for this coming Saturday. Music Showcase is the competition that we
host at Burroughs. We will need
volunteers from 7:00 am until midnight. Please sign up to help, even an hour or two is
much appreciated.
We
still have openings for Bus Greeters, Concessions, Security, and a variety of
other spots. Call or e-mail Denise

We
also need loans of the following:
8 E-Z ups

crock pots

12 ice chests
free standing lights (to plug in in the
quad for extra lighting outside)
Label
all items with your name and bring to the choir room on Friday between 3 pm
& 6 pm.
Also
we need concessions donations.....water, soda, cookies, chips, etc. These can also be dropped off on Friday
pm. If you are donating fresh items like
Martino's or donuts, please bring them on Saturday. NOTE:
We do not need any donations of popcorn, as we will have a popcorn
machine. Contract
points available for all snack donations.
Students
who are hosting choirs need to dress nice.
At the same time though, remember, school dress code applies (i.e. no
spaghetti straps, etc.). Tech and other
student helpers are to wear black pants and their choir shirts. Adult volunteers should dress comfortable and
wear your Burroughs' ID tag if you have one.
Morning
shifts start at 7:00 am and the afternoon shifts start at 3:30 pm. Thank you in advance to all!

Spring Concert May 16
This
is a concert where the first half consists of classical sets by each choir and
the second half is the last time each choir will perform their competition
set. Also, at the end of the
performances, all the new choir members will be announced and called up to the
stage.
Banquet May

The
choir banquet is for all choir members and their families. It is a lovely buffet dinner held at the
Castaways in
Chairmanships for
2008-2009
If
you enjoyed your position this year and would like to do it again and we don't
hear from you ... we will assume that you would like to do it again next
year. If you are not planning on holding
that job next year, please inform Debbie Stevens at DebbieStevens@burbankusd.org or
Debbie Wade at dwade56@charter.net to
let them know. If you want a new job or
would like to co-chair a position, please let them know that information as
well. Volunteers are greatly needed!
In-Debts
If you still owe a balance on your choir account, you have the
next week to pay it off to the choir via check or cash. After that, a list will be going to the
student store and you will be required to pay off your account throughcash
only. In addition, you will not be
allowed to purchase prom tickets, get graduation tickets, etc. until your in-debts
are cleared. Student who are not
graduating and have a balance on their account will be allowed to try out for
choir for next year, but they will not be told what choir they were accepted
into until their balance is paid up.
